Project

Hellenic Inland Shrimp Farms is a pioneering, Greek investment initiative, aiming at farming natural, safe and environmentally-friendly top-quality shrimps. Potential investors are the target audience of the website, which presents the comparative advantages of inland shrimp farming, the future facilities of the farm, as well as the estimated turnover. Authorized users can download the detailed business plan.

The project presented a great challenge from the beginning, as it needs to communicate a business plan for a unit that has not yet been realized. The end product itself, shrimps grown inland, is not a familiar product. Our goals included informing on the multiple nutritional and commercial benefits of the product, as well as clearly portray the proposed shrimp growing unit to interested investors.

The communication strategy and the concept of the presentation was designed in collaboration with advertisement agency Blender SKG.

our approach

We chose an one page narrative approach, guiding the visitor and gradually presenting the whole investment proposal. The website is divided into multiple sections presenting the product and explaining the multiple nutritional, financial and environmental benefits. The narrative flow continues with the presentation of the characteristics of the investment, the presentation of the proposed shrimp farm unit and the estimated financial benefits. In the end, we conclude by presenting media presence regarding the business plan and linking to the investors area, where approved users can download the full investment plan.

On a visual level, we followed the color palette of the existing corporate identity (blue and grey), complementing it with bright green in order to reference the environment and the positive ecological impact of the investment.

The narrative approach is complemented by several illustrations and animations in each section.

illustration and photorealism

The communication impact of the investment proposal is enhanced by the photorealistic representation of the future installations. Thus we can show the high level of maturity of the investment idea as well as guide the visitor in the future shrimp farm, using both interior shots as well as a full layout of the factory. The photorealistic depiction of the installations was developed in collaboration with False True Studio.

INFOGRAPHICS

The core essence of the investment proposal lies in the numeric indicators regarding consumption, market placement, predictions and financial data that certify confidence in the investment. We chose to communicate this information via infographics, depicting in a clear visual manner the expected returns of the investment plan.

ΑDAPTIVE / RESPONSIVE DESIGN

For the optimal presentation in mobile devices we implemented a mix of Adaptive and Responsive Design methodology: laptop and desktop users are served the full one page experience, while smartphone users see a presentation where each section is split into a separate page, thus minimizing loading times of the rich media experience.

AWARDS & DISTINCTIONS

The website was awarded an Ermis Silver in the category Digital / Website (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) in the Ermis Awards. It got awarded Website of the Day in the CSS Design Awards, got a Special Mention in the Awwwards, and it was presented in One Page Love and One Page Mania.
