Project
ASTIR Vitogiannis Bros S.A. is one of the world's leading crown cork (bottle cap) manufacturers. With experience spanning six decades, with modern production units in Greece and Canada, a client list including the top beverage and drinks manufacturers worldwide, an export network spanning 45 countries, a distribution network in all five continents and a production capacity exceeding twelve billion crowk corks annually, ASTIR Vitogiannis Bros S.A. is rightly recognised as a world leader in the crown corks market.
Aiming to renew the company's visual identity, ASTIR Vitogiannis Bros S.A. commissioned Point Blank for a redesign and development of its new website. The project's goal included presenting the company's brand, focusing on the product and its specifications, the modern installations and the technological advances in the fully automated production process.
The result aims to position the company as a leader in its sector, having the website reflect the company's size, quality and reliability.
APPROACH
We chose to focus on two narrative axes: on one hand the company and its modern installations, and on the other the product itself and the production process. In order to achive these goals, we combined modern design with video, photography and 3D photorealistic representations.
ANATOMY OF A CROWN CORK
We present the anatomy of the crown cork, depicting all the different technical specifications using 3D models, animation and interaction. The crown cork is elevated from a mere accessory of a glass bottle, becoming theleading actor in the main spotlight.
PHOTOREALISTIC REPRESENTATIONS
We chose to use 3D models and photorealistic images as the most effective medium able to overcome practical limitations of actual product photoshoot. Our aim was to shed light onto the quality as well as technical specifications of the product and packaging options.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO PRODUCTION
The production of photography and video captures the modern installations of the company and innovative production process, emphasising the high degree of specialisation of the human factor.
PRODUCTION
In order to achieve the end result, we organised, directed and coordinated four production teams of external collaborators. For content strategy and copyrighting we collaborated with UCME, for photography with Margarita Yoko Nikitaki, for video production with Production House and for the photorealistic representations with FalseTrue Studio.
Awards & Distinctions
The website was awarded Mobile Excellence in the Αwwwards, Site of the Day in Mindsparkle Magazine, Winner of the Day in CSS Reel and Booster of the Day in Boostlizer. It got Special Kudos in the CSS Design Awards and Star in CSS Winner.
