Kostas Kourakis

Kostas is a senior full stack Drupal web developer and architect. He has been developing Drupal-based websites and applications for the last 15 years. Drawing from his academic background in user experience (MSc Human-Centered Computer Systems), Kostas strives to make applications that are easy and intuitive to use, as well as code that is clean and straightforward for the developers to work on and maintain. He has worked for/with a range of clients over the years, from small indie ventures to complex, multi-faceted information systems used by national organisations and European agencies. Kostas usually assumes a Development Lead role, managing international teams of developers in both agile and waterfall-type projects.

Kostas love free software and Drupal and has been an active member of various FOSS communities. He is especially active in the Greek Drupal community having organized local meetups, Drupal days/camps and FrontEnd United. Kostas is a founding member and serves as the current Chair of the Greek Drupal Community User Group.

In his spare time, Kostas likes to spend time with his kids, organise concerts of experimental music at protosorofos.gr and participate in various social movements, trying to make this world a better place for all.
