Project

Noowit is more than an online magazine: it is an application aiming to change the way we get informed online. Noowit collects content from multiple sources, which it then filters and sorts according to the preferences and interests of each user, using artificial intelligence algorithms. The filtered content appears in the form of a personalized magazine, continually updating with new content fitting the user's needs.

Design principles

The design principles of Noowit are based on a minimal and clean design with an emphasis on big images and clear typography. We aim to simplify the multiple functionalities of the application and allow the user easy access to whatever interests them the most.

Personalized LAYOUT

The app's layout intentionally draws inspiration from print magazine layout. Noowit offers an adaptive filtering of information, choosing the articles considered of maximum interest to each user. Each article receives an interest score for each user, which determines the size of each article in the layout: higher-interest articles occupy a more prominent space than those considered of secondary interest.

Reading page

We placed big emphasis on the reading page of each article, refining the typography and creative use of photography, while at the same time making it easy for users to comment.

NAVIGATION

One of the greatest design challenges was how to include in the menu all available functionalities: adding and removing news feeds, aedjusting article filtering settings, creating a personal magazine, composing a new article and managing the user's public profile.
